Brinjal is a kind of violet coloured vegetable. It is called
by many names such as eggplant, aubergine etc. It is a very delicious food. It
is a annual food that means it is mainly cultivated once in a year. But it is
found all time in a year. All over its plant's body it is almost covered
with thorns. It has been cultivated in southern and northern Asia.
Its size is two types. One is long type and other is round. The
long brinjals are good for cooking curry and the round one is good for fry.
There are different brinjals in colour too. It is mainly violet but some are
white.
